Night Moves

Sunset over the schoolyard

It's surprising what we can accomplish in an evening after work with the right amount of effort. I don't get home until 7 after I finish at 5:30, but that time of the day on a sunny evening is just absolutely gorgeous in my neighbourhood. I have a quick, relaxing walk home from the bus and then dinner since I'm always ravenous when I get in. On Tuesday, I forced myself to not waste my evening and energy, and go for a walk after dinner. It was almost 8 by the time I left the house, armed with a camera and independent of my iPod.

This is the first time I remember having gone for a walk the evening of the day after Labour Day. For the past 19-odd years, it's been back to school for me so the Tuesday is generally school prep and shock recovery. This time it was relaxing (after the hectic commutes).

I took photos, of course.

It felt like an hour later when I came home, when it had only been half that. How rewarding!

Monday's lunch blog was cancelled due to Labour Day, though I meant to post. Shame on me. I keep forgetting my clever post titles as well, so hopefully this weekend I'll remember these fall time emotions and churn out a post or two.

Fall evenings are lovely aren’t they. I have to admit fall is one of my fave times of the year. Cooling off but still reasonable warm, the leaves turn colors and apples!!! ;-)

Cheers, Patricia

It’s becoming one of mine as well! Actually I really just love every season but not every form of weather ;) It was a hot one today! Langley’s just a big parking lot sauna… Love nature right now. Just glorious!
